The Chicago Bears got Chris Harris back in practice on Wednesday, but apparently he tweaked his troublesome hamstring injury during the session. ESPN Chicago's Michael C. Wright cited a source who said the setback could be significant enough to keep the safety out for another game or two. It's unlikely he will play in Week 4.
If Harris is unable to shake it off by Sunday and take part in his first game since the season opener, then newly acquired Brandon Merriweather should start at free safety and Major Wright would work at strong safety against the Carolina Panthers
I for one am shedding no tears that the Hitman wont be playing, and that should open up more opportunities for our red hot passing game. It also means it will be less likely CHI will run a safety blitz (they dont run them much anyway so was it really a risk?).
