As hopeful as I am about the Panthers, I'm having the hardest time getting pumped for this game. At some point in time, NFL defensive coordinators will figure out how to stop/modify the unbelievable success that Aaron Rodgers is having right now. But they haven't yet. It's not that the Packers will go undefeated this year. They probably won't. But there aren't many matchups that I would pick against them. So, here's my prediction for Sunday:
Look for Rodgers to continue his torrid streak and move the ball at will against the Panthers defense. I believe the Panthers running game will struggle against the Packers' front 7. Any success the Panthers offense has against the Packers will come throwing the ball downfield against the Packers' banged up secondary. But barring a bunch of Packer turnovers or winning the special teams in grand fashion, it won't be enough. Cam will throw for over 200 yards, but our RB's will be held under 100 yards again.
Packers 31 Panthers 20. And yes, I do hope I'm wrong! Go Panthers!
How about you? How do you see Sunday's game vs. the Packers unfolding??
