It seems like the NFL has it's new up and coming jersey king. Reports have been seen from numerous sources that after Cam's performance on Sunday his jersey sales have "sky-rocketed." This really isn't a surprise. Goodbye Tim Tebow, hello Cam Newton!
Prior to Sunday, I was planning on buying one or two... okay, all three. Then Sunday night I felt a great urgency to do this now. I've done plenty of scouting and have found a few places. Personally, I scoff at the idea of paying $250+ for an "authentic" jersey. Sometimes it makes me feel like a cheap-ass but that's a lot of damn money. And still, the replica's are $84.99. Ouch!!!
One of my friends, who's a crazed and rabid Packers fan(so unfortunate) went on a jersey spending spree a few years back. Ultimately, he paid around $114 for 4 jerseys. Were they authentic? Not necessarily . BUT, they were not screen-printed. I saw them and I was impressed. I bought a Peppers jersey (Bahhh!! I know, bad idea huh?) from one of these sites. When it arrived it looked good. The only thing that I saw different between "authentic" and these... the material of the sewn numbers and name was different. Other than that, it was the same thing in the stores. I can post pics if you'd like.
I have since place another order: $89.95 total for a while, a blue and a black Newton jersey. Hell, they even have Olsen #88's available now, Beason #52 and Mills #51 (sniffle.. miss him). These sites look a bit sketchy, but you will get your product. These jersey's are made in the same country that Reebok contracts to... China. So, if you're skeptical, allow me to be your collective guinea pig. I'll post pics when they arrive. I really can't wait!
SO, for all the people wanting to take a peek at a jersey or five and don't want another screenprint, check out these links. Just trying to share some economy-sensitive jersey love!
