Predictably, ESPN's John Clayton Ranks Newton #32 among NFL QB's

Stay connected for news and updates

According to ESPN's NFL "guru" John Clayton, Carolina Panthers QB Cam Newton is ranked #32 among the NFL's starting quarterbacks, one slot above dead-last on his list, which is reserved for Bengals QB Andy Dalton. (There are 33 QB's listed because he includes both Peyton Manning and Kerry Collins from Indianapolis.)

Honestly, this is really no surprise. Until Cam Newton starts winning games and having impressive box scores, national pundits aren't going to give him any respect in any sort of ranking (unless it's a ranking of biggest bust potential, or biggest fake smile, or something else that is a dig at the Panthers).

For what it's worth, I do think that Newton should be in the category he's in, which is "Hit or Miss". I think that's entirely fair. But, I'm not so sure Andy Dalton is the only QB in the league who's worse than Cam.

What do you think Panther fans? Is he ranked too low for you?
