The Fox factor.......
Just a casual observation (and some of this is based on rumored contacts since no one really knows who contacted who) -
For all the supposed loyalty to Fox that players on the squad had, he has only been able to lure one former Panther out to Denver: Dante Rosario. Overtures to Jeff King (signed with AZ), Derrick Landri (signed with PHI), DeAngelo Williams (re-signed, obviously), and allegedly reached out to James Anderson (re-signed) and possibly Charles Johnson (re-signed with extreme prejudice).
Frankly, it doesnt sound like anyone really wanted to go back and play for Fox, despite all the alleged support he had on the roster last year. Moreover, it says a lot about how much (or little) stock players well familiar with his system put into it when they had the chance to join him in DEN.
Well, he can always call Jake if Tebow doesnt pan out........

I found media projections laughable before free agency
Fox didn’t use DWills until his 3rd season. King believes he is a all-around TE, which Fox never used him as such. Fox was consistently using Diggs instead of giving Anderson a chance. JR said it best, that he had to cut players just to get the young guys on the field. I wouldn’t want to play for Fox based on how he used a lot of the young guys.
Fox was a solid coach but he leaned on veterans way too much. His offensive play calling was joke. Who wants to play for that if you feel you weren’t given a shot to play. I think the one guy that would play for Fox is Delhomme. But of course Fox played Delhomme when he should’ve benched him. That’s loyalty.
True I think Delhomme would go back and play for him
I was about to jump out of my chair when Fox continued to use Desean Foster and wouldnt put in DWill, why draft the guy if you arent going to use him? He had a lot of swing and misses on offensive players too – Colbert, Jarrett, Shelton, etc. I dont think he and his staff know how to eval talent on that side of the ball. The playoff game against AZ was what did it for me – we came in with absolutely no discernable game plan whatsoever and it really showed.
Obviously I have no love for Fox, he isnt the sole factor for last year but he was a large part of it, and I think he was unprofessional in a lot of ways, letting the team sink so he could jab JR In the face rather than finish out his tenure with some pride.
Also I forgot to mention Tyler Brayton visited the Broncs and ……..no signing.
Foster made me a bitter man
The guy was such an underwhelming running back it made me want to punch babies. I really don’t get why in the world the stuck with him for so long. Goodson reminds me of him in a way, because Foster couldn’t break a tackle to save his life…Foster is slower though.
Foster got hurt every year too - he just wasnt a feature back.
Goodson actually is a hybrid back but I think he has more speed than Foster
