I admit that most of these players will probably not be cut, but could possibly be attained in trades...
-Leodis McKelvin CB Bills-Has fallen out of favor in Buffalo and is now 3rd or 4th on their depth chart.
-Akwasi Owusu-Ansah S/CB Cowgirls-Excellent size and versatility. Could be a CB or a back-up Safety. Jordan Pugh-type of skill set. (Could be cut)
-Aquip Talib CB Bucs-Excellent size and cover skills although he needs to get his head on straight to become an elite player.
-Letroy Guion DT Vikes-Good size and skill level, definitely could be an upgrade for us in the middle of our D-line (Could be cut)
-Linval Joseph DT Giants-Nice size and has been a good run-stopper in spot duty. Could be unattainable with the injury to M. Austin, but who knows?
-Brandon Tate WR NE-Excellent in the return game and has shown flashes as a potential deep-ball receiver. Could be the #2 guy we have been searching for. (Could be cut)
-Jerry Hughes DE Indy-Smallish DE with talent galore. Could be a nice situational pass-rusher that is still quite young. (Could be cut)
-Tyson Jackson DE/DT KC-Similar to Balmer, I don't think this kid has played at a position he is comfortable with. (Could be cut)
-Albert Haynesworth DT NE-I hate the guys attitude, but if properly motivated he could be an absolute force in the middle of our D-line. (Could be cut).
-Derrick Harvey DE Den-Good size and talent that needs to be motivated to reach his potential, still young. (Could be cut)
These are just a few guys that could potentially be cut/released that could help out some of our areas of weakness. Unfortunately, I don't see much to help along our O-line (Believe me I have been looking!). Hopefully we can get healthy there, and in a hurry. We have some players that I feel like could be used as trade bait (Connor, LaFell, Gamble, Clausen and Goodson to name a few). We may have to loose a bit of depth to solidify some of our glaring needs. Just something to think about as the cuts loom and the season inches closer by the day...All opinions and ideas are welcomed...
