Texans RB Arian Foster Must Think I'm Sick

Stay connected for news and updates

In case you missed it Texans RB Arian Foster appeared to tweak his hamstring during their recent preseason game and then was peeved at some of the outpouring about his condition. For those who were genuine Texans fans concerned about his health he was happy but for those who were simply concerned because they sent a hgih draft pick on him...not so much:

Yahoo! Sports contributor Chris Chase goes on to finish this piece in humorous fashion which I encourage you to do. We as CSR don't post too many stories on NFL stories but when something rubs me the wrong way I have to think others feel the same way.

My first thought after reading this was similar to Chris' but tainted by the recent lock out. Why should we truly care about any players but our own? Sure only caring at the fantasy level is callous in a sense but its no worse than what fans felt from the players & owners during the lock out. Neither you or the owners really gave a crap about the fans as a whole. I do appreciate you getting the CBA done in time to save the whole season but that hardly means I should give a crap about other teams players anymore than before.

I think Chris' point about why does it matter why they are fans, only that they are fans? This guy Foster has one good season and now all NFL fans should monitor his injury status and hope for the best?  I don't really care if he plays the entire season or misses the entire season. I'm not a Texan fan nor did I have a high enough draft slot to draft him. To be clear I don't wish any harm on the guy either. But I just don't really care outside of knowing I'm playing against him in one way or another. Does that make me a sick individual? So be it I guess...
