NFL network is reporting that PHI has received several trade offers for CB Joselio Hanson and that he will be traded before the final roster cuts are made on Sept 3. Could CAR be one of the teams in the mix to grab him? It is no secret that CAR has a huge need at CB, and PHI has a bevy of promising young CBs on the roster. DC McDermott is familiar with Hanson's work at CB from his time in PHI. Whether or not that translates into interest on the part of CAR in Hanson will remain to be seen. Nonetheless, with other teams clearly interested in Hanson, if CAR is interested, they may not have the luxury of waiting around on Sept 3 to pick up Hanson or any other corners who could help fill out our depleted secondary. NYG, in particular, has been devastated by injuries at CB and are likely another suitor for Hanson. PHI has needs at LB, and the ever present rumors of trading Dan Connor will likely surface again. With Beason on the mend, Connor is not a commodity we can afford to let go right now.
