In a story this morning on profootballtalk.com's rumor-mill, it was mentioned from Paul Domowitch of philly.com sports, that Eagles DT Trevor Laws may be on the Eagles roster bubble, and behind Derek Landri on their depth chart.
DT Trevor Laws (6-0 3/4, 304, a 2008 Combine 4.97-40, 1.72-10, 35 bench reps), who is only 26 years old (6-14-1985), has been a career backup in the 3 years with the Eagles, only starting 1 game (2010) of the 42 he's played in. Laws had great year in 2010 for a backup DT, with 4 sacks, 15 tackles, 5 passes defended, 1 int, and 1 forced fumble, but only had 22 tackles in his first 2 seasons. As the Panthers seem to have no inside pass rush, Laws 4 sacks in 2010 would be a huge help to the Panthers, even as a backup DT. McDermott was his DC with the Eagles, so his view of Laws will likely deterine if the Panthers make an effort to get Laws.
Here is what Domowitch had to say about Laws chances of holding his roster spot. "Laws ... out since early August with a hip flexor. ... If the Eagles decide to keep just 4 DT's, Laws could be the odd man out". Here is the link.
