I really couldn't be happier for Armanti.
My only “Armanti argument” has been the extra pick we spent to get him. I was truly sad last season when he couldn’t handle return duty. He took a lot of flack for something that wasn’t his fault and I’m glad he’s getting a chance to shine. For his sake and ours, I hope he shocks the world this season. Go get ’em Armanti!

The extra pick is only a waste... IF he doesn't play well
If he works his way into the #2 or #3 spot, then I think that’s worth a 2nd round pick.

I'm not convinced that we couldn't have gotten him later....
for less or nothing extra at all. I don’t buy that the Indy interest was legit. I think we got duped. Just my opinion, but it’s what I believe.

I don't mind being duped if he plays up to the potential...
Even if we could have had him at a cheaper price (which I’m not convinced of)… We can analyze the past to help us make better mistakes tomorrow… but he’s already on the team and seems to be moving in the right direction. In the end, I doubt that one pick we missed out on is going to determine the next 10 years of this franchise…
But I do understand where you’re coming from

Who gives a flip if he turns out to be really good?
We got Smitty in the 3rd, however if we had to do it over again, I’d be picking him 1st.
STEVE SMITH!
I guess just me.
IN MY OPINION it was a bad decision to trade up. I’m not asking for your blessing, nor do I care if you or anyone else agrees with me. I am now, and always have been, fine with the player, but I don’t believe we needed to spend two picks to get him. It was a bad decision that cost us the opportunity at a treasure trove of talent in the second round of the 2011 draft and possibly the opportunity at trading the pick for multiple picks. Not good business.

My bad... I sounded prickish
But I only meant it for emphasis

No worries brother.
It’s one of those subjects that has proponents on both extremes. Like you said, if he turns out to be really good, who gives a flip? What’s done is done anyway so no point crying over spilled milk. Sorry if I came across prickish too. That wasn’t my intention.

At the time when Panthers traded a future 2nd rounder,
we didnt expect it to be the 33rd overall pick. I think thats what made it seemed worse, but …. “it is what what it is.” After all, lets look at the positives…. 1) Armanti is developing nicely, 2) Marty and the fo made some great moves this off season (he is forgiven) 3) i think its important that Panthers nation be patient about project players (this includes Cam Newton).. 4) The Panthers have a bright future!!!!!

Ha ha! Who does he think he is? Crocodile Dundee?
This is the NFL training camp, not the set of Raiders of the Lost Arc.

I think we've established that Ron, while potentially an awesome coach...

Because I haven’t had breakfast and that would be amazing right now. Where is Delhomme? I need him to throw me a biscuit right about now.

This'll be something to beat him over the head with when we're all sick and tired of him (hopefully many, many years from now).

If we're winning it's kinda a cool quirk
If we suck, it’ll just make him look more foolish

You threw me for a loop with the Crocodile Dundee then referencing an Indian Jones movie.
And over there in the tree, is a chipmunk nest. And that right there, is our corn, best in the city, it's delcious. And that is a crazy lady. So now you pretty much know what I do. Pretty dang exciting, huh?

And if that’s the case I’m glad he’s being smart about it.

watching this roster all i see is speed and athleticism. Can really make things interesting on both sides of the ball. Also can’t wait to see the defense. Chris Harris was easily our most aggressive defender always stripping the ball out for Fumbles. Ron Rivera was the reason for that. All of our guys trained to go full force until the ref blows the ball dead…I see A LOT of turnovers for our defense this season.

With an accent like that... AE can only play for a few teams
CAR, ATL, maybe Houston and Dallas??? Might have to nickname him Cal Naughton Jr..
