Darin Gantt's Outlook on the Panthers
I said 5 days ago that SportingNews is giving Outlooks on every team, and I linked the Outlook on the Atlanta Falcons. I also said that when the Carolina Panthers were given an Outlook, I would do my own analysis... Well it turns out that Darin Gantt wrote it and I have absolutely nothing to say about it. He is much more serious than I would be; and the only thing I could see myself injecting is needless optimism.Last Word: Everyone needs to read this article.

I wish I knew who the "anonymous opponent" was who said this...
“I like (Jon) Beason and he’s their best linebacker, but they’ve got to find a way to get Dan Connor on the field, too. That guy’s so smart, never takes a false step. Is he as talented as Beason? No. But he can play for a lot of teams, and they need to get something out of him.”
Preach it, Anonymous Opponent. =)
Anyway…on to Gantt. Thanks for sharing his write-up, scatterbrain. I enjoy his writing. I find it interesting that he mentions Norwood as SLB, after Rivera said he planned on using Norwood exclusively at DE. I wonder if the defensive minds are waffling on that.
"One play can win a game, but one play cannot lose a game." - Coach Peterson, Boise St.
"When you get into coaching, you strive to be a Super Bowl-winning head coach. That’s what my goal is, to come here and become a Super Bowl-winning head coach and to sustain an atmosphere of winning." - Ron Rivera
I'm a little confused..
Love the write-up but… I didn’t realize Tyler Brayton was still a Panther… perhaps intentionally. Regardless, Brayton over Hardy? That’s about the only thing that baffles me.
I like that Steve Smith is listed on the depth chart, meanwhile Richard Marshall is not.
