Well...since #4 is available now....
Rivera said it himself that our team needs a veteran qb...why not Brett Favre? I think it would be a really good fit here. From all the reports I hear, Favre is healthy and throwing the ball again. He is better than any other veteran QB available. He and Cam seem to have a good relationship, and are both represented by Bus Cook. It's really not fair to throw Cam into the fire without time to develop his skills. Cam is skilled, but still quite raw. Favre will also be able to learn the system and utilize all of our offensive weapons. At this point in his career, I think Favre will understand that he is not the franchise qb, so he will be willing to mentor Cam. I know he has never been a mentor, but I'm sure Aaron Rodgers and Matt Hasselbeck have learned a thing or 2 from #4. What do you guys think? Would it be worth the media circus? Or should we look at other guys like Billy Volek or bring Jake "5-int" Delhomme back.

NO, just no.
I’ll leave it at that. He is like McNabb in the sense of if he comes it is not to teach, but to start and will stir the pot big time if he isn’t starting.

You wash your mouth out with soap, young man!
#4 is strictly off limits. The Panthers should retire that jersey immediately.
In other news, no thanks to Favre. That’s a media circus I’d much rather do without. And do you really think Favre would come in with any mentality other than the alpha male on the QB depth chart?
Newton for '11 ROY!
Walker for '11 ROY!
Biyombo for '11 DPOY!
hey im not the one that dumped Kasay
great kicker, but I think Rucker/Minter/Hoov deserve to have their jerseys retired before Kasay’s IMO.
Exactly, he would be the alpha male to lead us to the playoffs while Cam develops. If he struggles you can insert Cam at any time. Maybe mentoring is the wrong word. Cam should sit and watch Favre throw TD after TD.
more like TD after INT after TD after INT after INT after TD (etc.)
Let’s not forget Favre’s well earned reputation for being one of the biggest risk taking gunslingers in NFL history.
And if any of those guys that you mentioned (as much as I like all three of them) ever get their jerseys retired, I’d forego watching Panthers games for an entire season (which, just so you understand how certain I am that it ain’t happening, would be absolute hell on earth for me).
Hmm…on second thought, let’s just say I’d be extremely surprised, and leave it at that. :^p
Newton for '11 ROY!
Walker for '11 ROY!
Biyombo for '11 DPOY!
Media will be there
anyway because of CAM, just leave the spotlight on him!!
I read the first sentence and was pissed the thought even entered my mind.

We dont need Farve
Nice call but no. Unless he is a coach, it would overshadow all the good stuff we did with our own, we dont need that in the lockeroom
