News and notes of the day:

- In case you somehow missed it, the Panthers locked up Charles Johnson long term. You can read the story here.

- The Panthers will release a full list of UDFAs they've reached agreements with today

- DT Barry Cofield signed with the Washington Redskins. This is important because Cofield and Seattle's Brandon Mebane represent the best two FA DTs this year.

- QB Matt Hasselbeck just signed with the Tennessee Titans, which quickly whittles down the free agent QB market. 

- The Bucaneers reached the first agreement with a 1st round pick as they locked up DE Adrian Clayborn to his rookie contract.

- The Panthers have agreed to a contract with DT Ron Edwards. You can read the story here.

The word on the streets is that DeAngelo Williams will decide which team he wants to sign with today. Right now, it's between the Panthers, Broncos, and the Giants. The Panthers appear to be the front runners at the moment, but anything is possible. Stay tuned to CSR for any updates on D-Will, or any other free agents, as they become available.
