The twitter word is Williams will meet with the Panthers today to discuss (continue discussion) of a long-term deal. Williams has not been shy about his desire to remain in Carolina:

What a role model fro other players on remaining loyal to your drafting club. It's a two way street for sure but when you have one of the best in the league at his position you don't part with them regardless of who you have backing them up.
