Jenkins played for the Panthers from 2001-2007
Several sources are now reporting that former Carolina Panthers All Pro NT Kris Jenkins will retire from the NFL due to a variety of injuries that have plagued the 31 year old player ever since the Panthers traded Jenkins to the New York Jets in 2008. At his peak, Jenkins was the heart of a disruptive defensive line and a large part of the success Carolina had in the early part of this decade. However, his exit from the organization had far less positive elements as feuding with the team led to his exit.
Jenkins played 85 of his 108 NFL games as a Carolina Panther, after being a 2nd round selection in the 2001 draft. After the jump we'll look at his statistics while with the organization.

It's seasons like 2002 and 2003 that showed the level of dominance Jenkins had on the field, and though his exit was bad we wish him the best of luck in the next chapter of his life.
