Ryan Kalil = Tweet of the lockout
As you know we haven't been able to have a 'tweet of the week' recently because our players just haven't been using Twitter to the best of their abilities recently. However, Ryan Kalil came on strong today in response to the settlement negotiations that have Drew Brees, Peyton Manning, Vincent Jackson and Logan Mankins essentially weaseling their way out of their franchise tags and leaving the rest of franchised players high and dry. Sorry, I know it's harsh- but it is what it is.
This move prompted outspoken Vikings punter Chris Kluwe to call the four players 'douchebags' which prompted Kalil to jump on Twitter and give us two of the better tweets we've seen in a while:
Ryan Kalil
I hope Chris Kluwe doesn't call me a douchebag because I am currently working on my own settlement with GM Marty Hurney.
No reason for Kalil to make a false claim like this, so it means he and Hurney have talked extension prior to the lockout, this is great news. But then, the Tweet of the lockout:
Ryan Kalil
In exchange for NOT having my signature on the settlement of the case, I would like: a 1978 AMC Pacer, 10 Snuggies® w/ #67 embroidered on them and a meet & greet w/ Jon Cryer of Two and a Half Men.
Ryan Kalil = the man... nothing more to be said

God can we please lock up Kalil for the next 20 years?
I don’t care if he’s as useless as a cactus after the 5th year, his humor alone is worth a roster spot.
A #67 embroidered snuggie…that’s priceless.
On a serious note…I hope he is serious about working out an extension with Hurney. We need to lock him up long-term.
One cries because one is sad. For example: I cry because others are stupid, and it makes me sad.
This has to earn him a nick name or something
Snuggster, Snuggia Daddy, The Great White/black/blue Snuggie wow I so need football to hurry up.
I am a proud supporter of troll hunting---- me.
When I see or hear sports segments dedicated to fantasy sports I want drive a nail in my ear because it is less painful. --also me.
This puts me in a very good mood...
Considering the ‘douchebags’ who can’t seem to really get this done, it’s nice to see that Kalil still has a sense of humor!

Offtopic but sorta relevant for all the cap crunchers:
Locking up Kalil in a contract will likely free up around $2m/yr. Combined with Brayton’s release, there’s a good extra $5m to be had.
We could use the money.
It’d be nice to have an extra $5M laying around in case we want to go after a mid-tier free agent, or have more money to offer one of our own guys to stay. (ahem, CJ)
