Jake Delhomme Ranked NFL's Least Valuable Player, #13 Clausen

Bill Barnwell, of Grantland.com, has rated ex-Panther, QB Jake Delhomme of the Browns as the Least Valuable Player in the NFL, in his bottom 25 list. Panthers QB Jimmy Clausen ranked 13th, and free agent QB Derek Anderson, who some fans want the Panthers to sign, at 12th least valuable. Here are some of the other interesting names on the list.

10. Patriots CB Darius Butler

3. 49ers OT Anthony Davis

2. Browns (ex-Bucs) SS Sabby Piscitelli

Man Delhomme may have left the Panthers at his worst...

But the guy doesn’t deserve that kind of embarrassing designation, IMO Clausen was WAY more worthless than Delhomme.

On the field, yes...

But Delhomme cost a lot more than Clausen did, and I think that’s why Jake was #1.

Well yeah there was that....

They would’ve done better by just keeping him as a back up for how much we were paying him.

yeah the irony there was incredible.

We paid him 17 million to NOT be here, and it turns out we really could have used him.

While true,

That $10m or so thats freed up for this year is going to allow us to sign what’s needed this year. Looking back, I think it was the right decision. We’d currently be talking about who we’re losing, not who we plan to pick up.

It did not take long to see what kind of artical this would be.

He added alot of venom and spite in saying a player was overpaid, underperformed, and dissapointed. Sounded like at times an obnioxous drunken fanboy who has to twist the insult as far as it could go.

When I see or hear sports segments dedicated to fantasy sports I want drive a nail in my ear because it is less painful. --also me.

It was I agree.

I should have added above that an obnioxous drunken fanboy could been funny. He backed much of what he said with states so is not like he is speaking out of but lol.

There was a couple when reading it was I “ouch” lol

Why is Jake such a target to dump on? I’m mean, I can see why Panther fans may be caustic given the Cardinals game flame out and then the 2009 season. But geez, there are plenty of statistically worse or less accomplished QBs to pick on. Or maybe I’m just a Jake homer? Dude better stop talking trash about my boy Jake or we will unleash the might of CSR on him!
