Not Cool CJ
"So people say I need to stay in charlotte! Why thow? I like Charlotte and the panthers but it's gonna be a tuff choice. I want to win!"
Think that is supposed to be "though" and "tough". I want you to show loyalty to the team who brought you to where you are now.

This guys comment was funny..
allenboyd- @daringantt @randywattson If C. Johnson doesn’t want to be here, then get to steppin’. Panthers shouldn’t overpay for an average DE.
CJ’s response- didn’t say I didnt want to be there alley boy whatever ur name is. pay me u better believe they gonna get what they paid for.
yeah I don't know that guy was thinking by that statement...
must not have been watching last season.

yeah it looks like CJ mainly just wants to get paid with the bonus of going to a winning team...
and I imagine the Falcons would be his first choice being from Georgia, they are winning now, and he would fill a big need for them. All things being equal (a.k.a. money) I think he would bail. I sure hope they work a couple of “right of first refusals” into the CBA or we could be facing him twice a year. If they do work in those right of refusals, it will no longer be his choice to make.
I would be nice to see him show a little loyalty to the team that drafted him, coached and trained him for 4 years rather than to see him bail on us after he finally started to pay dividends on the investment.

Ugh...
CJ’s talent is astounding. But if his Twitter account paints even a kinda-accurate picture, it’s becoming more and more difficult for me to like him. I appreciate the play, but my goodness, work on the attitude. I get being a competitor and wanting to win. And yeah, money is nice to have. But it’s not like he’s going to have to wait tables just to “get by” wherever he ends up playing.
I appreciate a player who shows loyalty to the team that drafted him. If only there were a few more Pat Tillmans. Someone who will pass on a bigger payday because loyalty means something. Someone who will leave the very lucrative job/game that he loves – trade in his jersey and helmet for camo – because he knows that there’s so much more to the world than winning football games. R.I.P. Pat Tillman.

Careful, Jamie.
You’re letting your emotion creep into your fandom again ;)

I spoke too soon!
vitzeng just included a poll in his fanpost, “Does Charles Johnson Have an Inherent Obligation?” I’m staying away from that one. =) There are way too many nuanced comparisons and contrasts that could be made to other players/situations.
(And no offense at all to vitzeng – it’s a good fanpost.)

I agree with Jamie "the tease" dk
We are fans. Aka fanatics. And I dont know about you but I’m a Panther fan. More a team fan than specific player. Otherwise I’d be a Trailblazer fan now in baskerball. If he’s unhappy he won’t perform unless its the big stage. I also don’t like him inferring the Panthers won’t win. Give it time. Show some loyalty.
