Back into the third round here with another hard hitter in Jake Delhomme who received a bye up until this point. This is the case of the Panthers' all time leading passer vs. the all time leading receiver.

Muhsin Muhammad, WR

Statistics as a Panther: 155 games, 696 receptions, 9,255 yards receiving, 50 TD
Two time Pro Bowler while in Carolina, 2004 All Pro, 2004 Receiver of the year
"MOOOOOOSE!" One simple word that sums up a career. For a long time he was as close to an original Panther as John Kasay after being a 2nd round selection in the 1996 draft. Muhammad was the kind of possession receiver every team wanted, but few actually had. The 2003 and 04 years were his zenith when recorded an 85 yard TD reception in the Superbowl in 2003, and then followed up with a scintillating 2004 season where he totaled 1,405 yard and 16 TDs.
Jake Delhomme, QB
Statistics as a Panther: 91 games, 1,580 completions, 19,258 yards, 84.9 QB rating, 120 TD
Accolades: Pro Bowl (2005)
What is there to say about Jake Delhomme? We was a free agent acquisition who was never really intended to start, but during the opening game of the 2003 season against Jacksonville with Rodney Peete crumbling-- in came Delhomme to begin his Carolina Panthers legacy. The mild mannered Cajun was arguably the greatest QB this franchise has had. He possessed a gunslinger mentality like Brett Favre which was both his best attribute and his greatest downfall. Whether you love or hate Delhomme his tenure in Carolina must be respected.
