Ok...why wasn't he drafted?

If I remember correctly there are size and durability concerns with him.

Overall my thinking on adding undrafted FAs is that if they’re not DL or OL this year we probably don’t need them. I just feel like we already have so many young players with potential that we need to see what we have in them before adding more.

But I will say this kid is pretty sick.

Nice highlights, but wasn’t this the same thing reggie bush made a name for himself with? Small, fast backs always seem to prosper really well in the collegiate game, but when it comes to taking on bigger guys and tacklers in the NFL, they seem to putter out fast. It is one thing to be able to just outrun every one.

In the NFL however, you are not going to get runs like that every game. These little speedy backs worry me, because unless you have an amazing, run blocking O-line, the kid is not going to do that sort of thing at the next level.

IDK though, just my opinion. As a UDFA, he is worth a shot.

But Goodson is not a #1 back, never will be. Now, is he good at filling his role of a utility guy? Sure. But in that case, we really don’t need a guy like Devine anyway. Why spend a roster spot on someone you already have?

If he learns to keep his pad level lower I think he could be.

He’s got speed, and is doing a better job of breaking tackles. He’s just got to learn to wrap up and take a hit better.

I still think his potential is limited to a #2 back at best. I just don’t see him being a #1 guy. But if D-Will does leave, at least Goody can be the guy we bring in as the Shock while Stew is the Awe (Shock and Awe as a new name?)
