It's not often we share numbers with our readers, because, well... they're tertiary to the discussions and writing we conduct, but in the case of this last draft weekend I feel it's necessary. Over the three days of the NFL draft (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) we had over thirty-thousand people visit Cat Scratch Reader to be kept up to date on the draft, the picks and our analysis.
I'm sure most people feel the same way I do- but this isn't just a blog, but a community. So I implore those silent thousands who visited over the weekend to create an account, stick around, and talk Panthers football with us.
I just wanted to take the opportunity to everyone who visited, commented and discussed over the weekend for an excellent draft weekend. I'll be honest, when Cam Newton was selected #1 overall I was sure it was going to be a powder-keg of a weekend, but ultimately we had a rather mild weekend all things considered.
Thank you again for sticking with us, and as we move forward. Sure, it could take a little while... but after all, becoming great is more like collard greens, isn't it?
