Well here we go. Everyone is asleep and I'm bored, and that's all I need to tell you guys exactly how 2011 is gonna end up. Here's the thing with making predictions for 2011 that makes it a little tricky. I have to predict which FAs stay and who we draft. But what is more than that, if I am completely wrong, it doesn't matter, I'm going for it anyway.
Well first things first, I predict every year that we are going to win it all. Someone pointed out a website where we were the 10th most talented team, and that was without a QB. So if we fix that position, and avoid devastating injuries, we should win it all.
I predict we draft Cam Newton and later in the draft, a guy who can return punts. We'll also keep D-Will and CJ. D-Will's comments about going to Miami were a smokescreen.
We will go 11-5, and win the division, but win the NFC championship game on the road in Chicago. Then we'll win the Superbowl against the Patriots who have the rookie of the year from the 33rd pick.
Cam Newton will finish with 55% completions, 2200 yds, 14 TDs, 18 INTs, 540 yds rushing with 8 more TDs. D-Will gaines 1100 yards and 7 TDs, and Stew goes for 1415 and 12 TDs.
Smitty goes for 70 catches, 1050 yds, 6 TDs. Gettis and Lafell both improve on last years totals, but not by much with a rookie QB. Shockey goes for 45 catches and 520 yards and 2 TDs in 11 games.
CJ gets 13 sacks and Brown gets 8, Hardy gets 7 and Davis gets 6 sacks and 3 INTs.
Our Pro Bowlers are Stewart, CJ, Beason and Davis...and maybe Godfrey, Kalil and Otah.
The Superbowl MVP will be Beason as our defense is a bigger reason for our superbowl run than Cam, but Cam does his part.
One more thing, if you do the math, that's about 3,000 yards rushing, 25 rushing TDs, and 34 sacks just from the guys listed here.
Go ahead, tell me how I'm a wishful thinker, or how I'm wrong, or how CJ and D-Will are gone, and we're only playing 10 games this year. I mean, anything can happen.
