I realized that we've talked a lot about the NFL combine and it starting today, but haven't given our readers an idea of what the schedule is in Indianapolis. Thankfully we have the schedule for you here courtesy of NFLcombine.net. Essentially today was all the boring stuff; measurements, psyche tests, physicals etc. the day finished with interviews between prospects and teams. This is also the schedule for tomorrow, as they stagger the prospects in stages.
The real action begins on Saturday with the PK, ST, OL and TE workouts, but it's Sunday and Monday that Carolina Panthers' fans will be caring about the most with the QB, WR and RB drills on Sunday, with the DL and LB players on Monday. Tuesday, the final day of the combine is all about defensive backs with the corners and safeties running their drills together.
No real updates on the workout front, though it should be mentioned that Blaine Gabbert has decided not to throw in Indianapolis. I can't find a single good reason why he shouldn't and it raises a red flag to me. If you're trying to prove you're #1 overall pick, or #1 QB material wouldn't it make sense to show off that cannon of an arm you've been touted for?
