Week 13 Panthers Game Ball of the Week Fan Poll
I was going to simply give the game ball to rookie QB Cam Newton but then I thought that wouldn't be fair to the other impact Panthers in this game. Newton will still most likely win the poll and rightfully so but I still think we should highlight the other key performers. Here are this week's Panther game ball candidates:
- QB Cam Newton - Newton broke the NFL single season record for rushing TDs by a QB with 3, count hem 3 one yard TD plunges. The first was what is turning out to be vintage Newton Super man as he dove over the pile for the score.
- DE Thomas Keiser - Keiser basically logged a stat every category, one each: INT, pass defensed, tackle for loss, QB hurry, sack, tackle. This guy is going to stick around a while.
- S Charles Godfrey - Godfrey led the Panthers with 9 tackles and a key to shutting dowsing the Blount. He added 2 tackles on special teams as well.
- DE Charles Johnson - Johnson wreaked havoc all day in spite of only logging 3 tackles; they were all for a loss and included a sack, a QB hurry and a pass defensed.
- RB Jonathan Stewart - J-Stew ran 14 times for 80 yards and a TD and added 2 receptions for 19 yards. He also added Tanard Jackson to his 'Bucs that Got Trucked' List.
There are your candidates for Game Ball of the Week.

I can't bring myself to vote
They all played lights out and contributed to a complete game. Hardy also played lights out and if not for the quick thinking of JJ would’ve had 2 sacks. Gamble shut down whoever he was on. Nanee finally made me hope he comes back next year. I just can’t pick.

Gotta give it to Cam.
He was the best player on the field Sunday. Consistently moved the ball, no turnovers and scored 4TDs
Several guys had really good games though.

Cam got this walking away ...
but day-um it was FUN watching Keiser grabbing his opportunities!
Had to give it to Cam..
And on an unrelated note, I find it pretty ironic that the girl in the stands that Cam gave the ball to, lives in the same city as I.

Voted for Cam
How could you not? The only other one even close was Mr. Keiser. (Or is that Herr Keiser?)
pretty sure its Das Keiser!

I voted for big money
He really took over the whole game. Obviously it’s a team sport, but the individual effort he has been putting forth all year is incredible and this game really showed why he’s worth all the money. It’s not just that he gets a good amount of sacks per year… but in this case, he took over a game much like Pep would from time to time. Special player.

Voted for Blitzkrieg
I had a hard time deciding. Sure The Newt will end up getting the ball, but the deliberation just shows that the team played well as a whole on Sunday.
I kinda like power running football though. It’s iike a bloody violent ballet…

(Please note that from now on I shall only refer to Cam as "The Newt" and Rivera as "BAMF")

Jonathan "Buc Trucker" Stewart
Sounds a lot like another two words when I read it.

Charles "Praise" Godfrey sounds like something Chris Berman would make up.

I may not always be right, but even a blind nut finds a squirrel every once in a while.
I think Berman would go with Charles "Oh My" Godfrey
Johnson hands off to Blount over right tackle, but here comes Charles Oh My Godfrey and WHUMP! IT’S A FUMBLE!

Johnson
I thought he dominated all day. All the guys listed did great but Johnson was unblockable.
