A round table of NFL.com analysts made their picks for the Pro Bowl. The analysts made a list of players that each of them would choose for the probowl. The 6 analysts (Davis, Harrison, La Canfora, Smith, Brandt, and Rank) each selected a few players for each position and some Panthers made the cut.
QB Cam Newton (2 votes)
WR Steve Smith (5 votes)
LT Jordan Gross (4 votes)
C Ryan Kalil (5 votes)
DE Charles Johnson (1 votes)
SS Charles Godfry (1 votes)
Now we all know that the term "analyst" is a relative term and many people give their opinion close to if not zero merit. However, it is interesting to see their view. I think all above players are very worthy. Anderson and Gamble were the 2 snubs IMO. I understand Anderson being snubed since all of the OLB attention is put on the 3-4 pass rushers (which I think is BS by the way), but snubing Gamble surprised me. I know that most fans don't recognize Gamble or give him credit, but I hoped that these "experts" would give him his dues. This was especially frustrating when I saw that guys like Tillman (CHI), Rodgers (SF), Peterson (ARZ), Wilson (WAS), and Newman (DAL) made the list.
