Breaking Down Carolina's Play:60 Commercial
I know what most of you are probably thinking, "WTF?". Humor me, I am bored and it seems like all the important aspect of the team have been covered. Plus, it gives us a chance to talk about a different aspect of the Panthers that is related to on the field activities and such. For those of you who haven't seen the video, click here. The concept behind this post is to point out a few things that come up in discussions or to make light of some of the things going on in Panther Nation as of late.
For staters, has anyone noticed how dejected Jimmy Clausen looks in that video? Personally, he should be smiling. He is on the same ride with the team's starters and wasn't bumped to the short bus. Moving on...
Anyone else wonder how many kids would have run through our DTs? I'm just saying...I know its an area in need of improvement but when you have kids busting through that A gap....
How about Ron Rivera? I could be wrong since I seldom get to watch Panther games but has the man ever cracked a smile?
What about the Big Cat Jerry Richardson? It was refreshing to see him behind the wheel of something other than a golf cart. What do you think he will do for an encore?
Cam is great in that video. He is smiling, upbeat...a far cry from the aforementioned QB at the top of the list.
Speaking of upbeat; I was wondering about Steve Smith's dispositon at the beginning of the video. He looked like he was getting ready for game day instead of being loose and having some fun. The producers must have mentioned that to him because he looked alot more happier at the end (of course he could have punched out same said producer and that made him happy).
Finally, how many of you felt you wasted your time reading this? In all fairness, I can't believe I wasted my time writing this piece. So in closing, GO PANTHERS!

I don't think Clausen is in the video.
I think a lot of people are mistaking him for Greg Olsen, though I could be wrong.

thought it was Olsen also
isn’t it? And since this is finally somehow on topic, as a 6’5 lanky dude I chuckle everytime i see all these big ass NFL players squeezed in a school bus. Seriously there is no way they would fit facing straightforward.
I could have sworn it was him but who knows...

You know
Upon further review, I think you’re right. It is Olsen…you have to freeze the frame to really get a good look at him. Also, the people commenting on that video at youtube.com are a bunch of idiots. They really need to do their homework before vocalizing a thought or an opinion.

That was awesome.
It was a refreshing change from the posts that have been littering this site.
When someone tells you that you are one in a million, what they are really saying is that there are about 1400 of you in China.
I appreciate it...
Honestly, I wasn’t too sure if I really wanted to post something so random but I figured ‘what the hell’.

What bothered me...
Were the players like Steve Smith wearing headphones on the bus. To me, it makes them look disinterested in the kids and like pretentious athletes or celebrities. Overall though, I really like it, that just bothers me.
I'm with you on that.
Someone should have told them to take the damn things off.
I don't always fail, but when I do...
I do it awesomely.

They did. He just had the music up too loud.

If I were on a bus that was playing that song....
I would have headphones on and my head out the window. That song is OBNOXIOUS (in my opinion). I don’t want to sound like some negative jerk on this, because the whole “Play 60” idea is great, and its great to see the Panthers on a national (I’m assuming?) television commercial. And I would never want to offend those kids that are singing that song, more power to them. But, that song is bad. The only lyric I can understand is something about a “shower.” Ugh. Now its stuck in my head.
This was a good post, by the way (not the one I just wrote, but the original by Disciple). A nice change of pace!

Actually Ron Rivera during his press releases is very interactive with the reporters and likes to crack some jokes at times
"Hope for the best plan for the worst"
"They laugh at me because I'm different, I laugh at them because they're all the same"
It's very refreshing to listen to Rivera talk to the media
He’s very candid. I enjoy listening to what he has to say and I feel like it gives us a good reflection on the state of the team.
I never really cared to listen to what Fox had to say cause it never really seemed to have any meaning.
Its a good commerical
and I am glad I could get a chuckle out of you
