It's time for the Panthers Power Play of the Week. If I had said this week featured an exquisite stiff arm to an opponents grill I'm sure your first thought would have RB Jonathan Stewart, right? Well you would be wrong for a change as this week the rejuvenated Steve Smith showed just how much spunk the WR still has.

You can watch the video here. (NFL.com doesn't allow embed). It's a couple down the list.

Let me set it up for you:

From the shotgun with Stewart to his right, Newton runs a play action fake to Stewart over the left side, then turns right and flips the ball to a sprinting Smith on a left side end around. Stewart continues to put a nice block on CB Cedric Griffin who strings the play out to the side line. As Smith tries to get the edge around Griffin he lays a stout stiff arm to Griffins grill that in turn caused Griffin to get a face mask call on top of the 11 yard gain. Face to palm plus 15...Yeah baby! Now that is Panther football.

I wonder if Jonathan Stewart is teaching stiff arm classes in the Panthers locker room?

There you have it...the Panthers Power Play of the Week: A Stiff Arm Extraordinaire by Pro Bowl WR Steve Smith
