I'm going to take a different approach with my fantasy sleeper pick this week. My previous Panther picks seemed to instead have bad days, kind of like the Jaxon version of the Madden Curse. So I'm thinking I need to pick a sleeper from our opponents instead and see if I can work the same magic from previous weeks.
So as I look at the Lion's offense an obvious pick is however starts at RB for the Lions which I think this week is Kevin Smith. Smith doesn't scare me though, I'm thinking I'm going to look elsewhere. Since Calvin Johnson is hardly a sleeper any week, I'm instead going with the Lions #2 WR. The Panthers and CB Chris Gambel do a good job on #1 WRs but are prone to giving up big plays to #2 WRs that get matched up on one of our safeties.
So my Fantasy Sleeper Pick of the week is Lions WR Titus Young.
Young has the kind of speed and open field moves that have given the Panthers secondary fits this season. I'm thinking 70 yards and a TD for 13 total points. He's a pretty good bye week replacement this last bye week of the season. Of course, if my prediction should happen to jinx Young well then I would call that a good day as well!
