Reflections on Coach Foxie

While I was watching the Thursday night special of the Jets vs the Broncos last night, something on the sidelines caught my eye-  Foxie in the navy and orange of the Denver Broncos!  Despite Tim Tebow being must see TV this season, I must admit that last night was my first time seeing the Denver Broncos in action, and therefore my first time seeing Coach Fox with his new team.

Personally it was a little strange; almost like randomly bumping into the ex you shared some great times with when all you have had on your mind lately is the hot new chick you’re dating now.  It definitely caused me to reminisce on the nine seasons we shared together, the highest of the ups (see 2003 season) and the lowest of the downs (see 2010 season).  Judging from some of the comments here in the CSR community, I believe that there does exist a little bitterness in some pertaining his tenure here.  Maybe it was his ultra-bland style (run, run, draw, punt, play field position), or maybe because the breakup ended so badly with our 2-14 debacle of a season last year.   Still we had the magical 2003 Super Bowl run, the 2005 NFC Championship game, and a somewhat recent 12-4 season.  Personally, I still have a lot of respect for Coach Fox, and I look upon his tenure with some fondness.  Though the road was bumpy, the great times stand out more in my mind because they allowed me a chance to relish being a Panther fan even more, and allowed our franchise an opportunity to dominate and create a name for itself within the league.  With that being said, I’m definitely absoultely estatic about the changes to the team all around. But, what I really want to know is …How do YOU feel?
