Coming off the bye week we expected an improved level of play from the Panthers. What they gave us was decidedly less. This Panther team suddenly looks able to compete with the Colts for the worst team in the league. They will get the chance to prove that in about two weeks. But digress in hopes to forget this stinker. But alas, we must discuss for a few days at least.
Today's game was all Titans though. Give the Panthers credit, they helped the Titans by turning the ball over, making stupid penalties and allowing the Titans to pressure Newton all day.
Ugliest Play of the Day: Special thanks to our less than Special Teams who deflated the Panther sideline by allowing an early punt return for a TD.
Rookie Watch: QB Cam Newton had his worst day as a Panther. His 18 completions were of the tame variety and never seriously challenged the Titans after an early red zone possession was fumbled away BY TE Greg Olsen. Olsen had one of his worst days as a Panther too. His fumble further deflated the Panthers after already being down 7-0 from PR TD.
Lose Your Cool Play of the Day: DE Charles Johnson gets a 15 yard personal foul fro pushing a Titan o-line after stopping a 3rd down conversion.
Best Panther Play of the Day: CB Chris Gamble had a nice INT that led to the Panthers only points.
The Bad: The Panther Offensive line was absolutely horrible giving up 5 sacks and multiple hurries. Newton rarely had time to look down field. It's time to admit this line is average at best and horrible when they are not in sync like today.
Let's hear form you Panther fans...worst game since when? 2008 post season?
