For weeks we've been speculating on what role if any Brandon Hogan would play should he be removed from the PUP list. He's been working since he was permitted to practice to slowly get into shape. Players and coaches have both said how impressed they have been with him this far, including DWill who said he was in awe at what he did in the cone drills. Well today we got our first clue as to exactly what role he's headed for. According to Joe Person, Hogan worked with the first team defense and also returned kicks in today's practice. I know they gave a few vets the day off today so it's unclear if his work with the first team was as a result of Gamble taking a break or if Captain is destined to return to the nickle corner position he's probably best suited for. In either event it's nice to see him healthy enough to get the work, and it's hard to imagine he wouldn't be an upgrade in both the kick off and punt return game. What do you think panther fans? Just getting him some work or is this a sign of things to come?
