I just read some very interesting stats at ProFootballFocus.com that raises some questions. here's the link.
www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2011/10/05/re-focused-panthers-bears-week-4/
Only 38 of Matt Forte's 205 yards came from running inside the tackles. So, 168 of Forte's rushing yards came from running outside the tackles. Like everyone else I've been placing the blame for the Panthers run defense problems on their DT's, but this stat has to make you question if at least part of the problem isn't elsewhere, like with the LB's.
Here are some of the other interesting stats from week 4 in the story:
Cam was only 5 of 13, with a int, when under pressure.
Steve Smith caught all passes targeted to him against S Brandon Meriweather, for a 29.5 yard average, and is in the NFL's top 5 in Yards per Route Run.
The Panthers held WR Devin Hester without a catch in the game for the first time since 2007.
