Today, the Chicago Bears cut Chris Harris. What do you think the chance of the Panthers re-signing CH is? i know we just paid Godfrey, but I think that Chris Harris could greatly benefit our soft run defense. Nothing scares me more than when Godfrey moves into the box and Martin is our deep safety. The boy can't tackle!

Bears waived SS Chris Harris. Harris was permitted to seek a trade prior to the deadline, but said he would stick it out in Chicago as a backup after finding no takers. He then started last week's game against the Bucs with Major Wright (hip) a late scratch. Apparently, the Bears have simply had enough. Harris was a second-team All-Pro last season, but has been getting abused in coverage this year. He probably runs 4.8 at this stage of his career, but could help a team capable of using him mostly on run downs.
