Heya Cat Scratch Fever I'm down from the Daily Norseman and thought I'd stop by and see if any of you have any questions about the Minnesota Vikings this year. Should be a fun match up between two teams that many people don't think match their records. Well unfortunately we do have the record we have and honestly right now we deserve it.
So let's talk about the upcoming game, first we'll talk about the good news for you guys. Our secondary is in shambles. Our best corner is out with a neck injure and is on the far side of 30 so I doubt he'll be coming back for the game, our second best corner is out with a felony assault charge and has been suspended from the Vikes for well ever maybe... Our linebacker are solid vs the run, but have allowed a lot of passing yards, and our middle line backer is having knee issues from when he broke his freaken femur, and his back up is out for the season with a borked pelvis. So your passing game is probably going to look pretty solid. On the same front we look to be missing our center and right guard due to injuries as well so we'll be starting Berger at center, who has been in the league for a bit, and Fusco who is a rookie at guard. Yeah that's a lot of good news...
On the bad news front we have Adrian Peterson our own football diety and you guys didn't do so well against Forte, it will be interesting to see how you handle All Day.
Jared Allen is leading the league in sacks and seems to be making a bid for defensive player of the year, his book end Robison is in the top 10 on sacks so Cam will have a hard time rolling out to the right to get away from Allen. Finally the Ponder era has begun in Minnesota and while his numbers weren't Cam Newtonesqe he still did a solid job of keeping us in a game against the defending Super Bowl champs and the only undefeated team in the NFL.
Now to a couple of questions about your team followed by a shot out to any of you in the Wilmington NC area. Cam, wow I don't think anyone saw that coming, and I have to admit my view on him has changed drastically in the last couple of months, but do you all think he can start connecting with people not named Steve Smith? How has Olsen been treating you guys we got a lot of film up here on him from when he was playing with the
Bears the man has some seriously soft hands. Also without Beason how do you think you're defense will fair against the Vikes? Also, other than Olsen, Cam and Smitty who do you think we need to watch out for in the upcoming game?
Lastly, I'm living down here in the Wilmington NC area and would be interested in watching the game down at the Bufalo Wild wings in Monkey Junction if any of you are up to it. I did this with a Detroit fan a few weeks ago from SB Nation and we both had a good time (he had a better one...) but watching a game with cool peeps from the opposition and talking some friendly trash is always a good time.
Good luck on Sunday I hope for an inury free game in which the Vikings end up winning. Oh and rec this please to keep it near the top, thank you.
