The Panthers match up pretty well with their opponent Washington Redskins this weekend providing a couple of option for Panthers Sleeper of the week. I think I've got a higher probably of this pick having a good scoring week as compared to last week. My picks last week, WR Legadu Naanee and K Olinde Mare had okay games at best but not the big score like I was hoping.
You might argue that my sleeper of the week isn't much of a sleeper but I'm calling him a sleeper because I'm sure his owners struggle on deciding on when to play him. I'm saying this is the week to play him.
Panthers Sleeper of the Week: RB DeAngelo Williams
Williams has had one good game, at home against the Saints two weeks ago. The Redskin offense should struggle with new starter John Beck starting at QB which should allow the Panthers to get an early lead. Once that happens the Panthers will run the ball more and give Williams his highest number of carries of the early season.
I'm predicting 130 yards (rushing & receiving) and a TD for a 19 point afternoon. Of course, Jonathan Stewart could have a big day as well.
So there is your Panthers Fantasy Sleeper of the Week.
