Shockey Miffed He got No Explanation for Penalty that Negated TD

Stay connected for news and updates

I'm sure Panther fans remember the ticky tack penalty called on TE Jeremy Shockey that negated what would have been a key score in the Panthers loss to the Bears. He was called for pushing off before catching a TD pass. The replay showed Shockey barely touched Bears DB Charles Tillman who was at least guilty of the same. Shockey is miffed that when he asked the refs what the call was they did not feel obliged to answer:

"We pay their salary, and I can't even get an explanation," Shockey said after the game. "So, I'd like to see the explanation when they do get graded. I asked them the question, and they don't tell me [expletive deleted]. Again, they should be held accountable as well."

Well really it's the fans that pay their salary but I agree with Shockey none the less. I think a player has a right to at least a quick explanation of what they are being penalized for.

Shockey expressed his frustration on twitter as well, well at least someone claiming to be Shockey did:

Jeremy Shockey

Worst f.... call ever. NFL I need an explanation. Pls hold the strips accountable. integrity must be keep as the comish preaches
Shockey later claims a friend named Pedro actually 'hacked' his Twitter account and posted the comment. Nice CYA move Shock! So you are such BFF's with 'Pedro' that he knows your Twitter password? Too funny!
