Panthers Week 6 Game Ball Winner Fan Poll
While this is getting harder to nominate players for another loss there are several worthy players of this weeks award. Please place your vote for the Game Ball of the Week winner sponsored by Samsung. I'm leaving Cam Newton off the list since if he should win this week with that stat line what's the point in doing a game ball at all? given his stat line was what it was I hope you understand. This week's candidates are:
RB Jonathan Stewart - Stewart became the first second non-QB Panther to score on the ground this season (Williams being the other). He chipped in 7 carries for 48 yards and 3 receptions for 24 yards for 72 yards total and a TD.
TE Jeremy Shockey - Shock logged 4 catches for 60 yards including several key 3rd down conversions
DE Charles Johnson - Johnson added his 5th sack of the season along with 4 combined tackles
LB James Anderson - Anderson led the Panthers with 7 combined tackles
Okay so maybe we don't have a lot of candidates. I would add Steve Smith since he led the team in catches and receiving yards but honestly that stat line (5 for 66 yds) is so beneath him I can't put him on the list either. I guess it should be expected that given it was the worst loss of the season that we have a short list of game ball candidates.

Therefore
Stewart is the second non QB to chip in with a touchdown

No problem,
I wasn’t really enamored by any of our players this week, so I voted for Stew, who I thought was the most reliable/consistent in all facets of his game.

Baby steps, but still steps in the right direction.

Defense
Until the Panthers get the Defense fixed, they are getting eat up with the Run and also the Pass. Get someone that can stop the pass and maybe this team will win?
James A missed tackles left and right
just like the other lbs. Gamble should get some recognition for a guy who many thought as a #2 cb at best. He just made one stupid mistakes on the pass interference play.

No one was a winner this week, so no one should "win" a gameball.
This was an ugly game..shouldnt game balls only be given if someone plays partciularly well? No one deserved a gameball. I can see giving one in a loss if they played realy well, but forcing a gameball when everyone played average or below is stupid…and I mean that with the utmost respect.

the effort on that wide pass should win it for him
the one where he reaches out with one hand and taps it in…
if No-nay made catches like that, he’d be leading the team in catches
I had to vote Shockey too
He just stepped up like nobody else this week.

Sorry..I just can't vote for a team fail like this week..
Rocking the boat and righting the ship! Making the moves needed...Go Panthers!!!
Charles Johnson
5th sack of the season, 4 combined tackles, 2 QB pressures, 1 Pass Defensed… We could use a little more of this on our team.
"It is now official... Cam Newton is now the face of our franchise.

Shockey
Not just for what he contributed on teh field, but for what he contributes emotionally after the game.
Someone answer this for me
I know we have two TEs who we like to put on the field at the same time but is Olsen not great at getting open or is he just being used as an extra blocker more? The guy gets like 20-30 yards a game and the only tiem I really see him is in the RZ
