Panthers Fantasy Sleepers of the Week
We are hip deep in the bye weeks and if you are like me you are scrambling for a decent bye week replacement for players like WR Larry Fitzgerald, Brandon Lloyd or Dwayne Bowe. In 12 teams like we play here at CSR the pickings on the waiver wire are slim and you should tread carefully. Now is the time to review the stats, look for trends and play the odds.
When I look at the Panthers match-up with the Falcons the usual fantasy stars, QB Cam Newton and WR Steve Smith are certainly good plays. I'm going to supplement those obvious picks with two sleepers based on the Falcons 'Points Again' Stats provided by ESPN.
The Falcons are the 3rd worst defense against WR's so I'm going to say this is the week WR Legadu Naanee finally puts it all together and catches more than he drops and logs is first Panther TD. I'm think 6 catches for 75 yards and a TD for a solid 13 points.
The Falcons are also the 5th worst team allowing points to kickers. if there is one Panther due for a good game its Panther PK Olindo Mare. I'm thinking he nails 3 FG's and a few xpts as the Panthers hang 30 on the Falcons. That's probably 12 to 15 points for Mare depending on how long the FG's are.
Agree? Take the fan poll... after the jump...

Like most i am scrambling for WR help
Unlike most, I have to replace both Bowe and Fitzgerald. I was able to pick up Crabtree and he could be a quality short term solution. Week 8 will be difficult b/c I need to replace Rodgers.

haha, funny that you mention nannee
cause i was thinking the same thing yesterday when i put him in the starting lineup
"The way y'all are lollygaggin around here with them picks and them shovels, you'd think it was 120 degrees...can't be more than 114."

Scroll down to his 3rd game, and you'll see that Brandon Funston has Naanee as a sleeper Fantasy pick this week.

I’ve found the guy has pretty good insights to share, though I use him as a betting resource, not for Fantasy.
I'm sold. He will start for the Cam-odo Dragons vs. the BAMF Brigade
I’ve seen two legit fantasy sources calling Naanoo a sleeper this week. Plus, I figure I was going to get my ass beat anyway. I mean, how much worse can Niinnee be than Kevin Walter.
So much to be done, and so few people willing to do it for me.
Sorry Jaxon...
But I disagree… Naanee has shown us no reason to believe he will do anything relevant. He has a knack for NOT making a play when he needs to. I would bet on Brandon LaFell getting a TD this week before Naanee.
Same here
LaFell has one already too. Naanee? He dropped one, slipped and missed another… Just don’t like those odds.
I think you should have a
“Bold Prediction” thread every week. Make the predictions something like not what everyone expects but like yours, with Nanana scoring a td.
Here is my bold prediction: Edwards comes out in the wildcat this week and passes the football.
Failure in a bold prediction bet/promise results in this sig.
Hope you're right !!
They said before the season started they had a series of plays designed for AE. I’m ready.

dang I think I'm playing you.
With my stellar combo of Holmes, Bryant, and Burleson. They aren’t shabby but I’m desperately missing Kenny Britt now.
Yes I'm a dude.

Welker is far from being a "sleeper"
STEVE SMITH!

Dear Leslie Frazier,
I have Andre Johnson out and on my bench alongside Julio Jones. Have you met my friend, Percy Harvin? I really think you two would get along. Especially if you like freak athletes carrying footballs into end zones. Please tell that guy from the soup commercials to throw him the ball.
Thanks.

Those fantasy owners who’s names appear in bold, please provide me with the name, phone number, and financial information for the owners who made these trades with you. Next year, I will start a separate $1000 league just to invite these owners.
Please help, I seriously need the money.
BTW, this is just a joke. :-)
I really don't think
Naane is that bad though. I saw him in Dan Diego when VJax was out and he played pretty well. He just needs an accurate ball to the body. The thing I don’t like about him is even for his size he’s not a threat when it comes to the jump ball which lowers his Red Zone threat. I trust the coaches though, the must see something in practice that’s not translating on the field. I think he’ll go for around 70+ yards 1 TD
I would’t pick him up in my FF league though. (I keep picking up these mid tier WRs and idk what to do) some advice would be nice actually
I have… Smitty, AJ Green, Brandon Marshall, Marques Colston, Jordy Nelson and Sidney Rice
I’m thinking about dropping Colston because of my newfound hatred for the Saints.

those receivers aren't that shabby of a group.
Smith, Green, and Nelson are bona fide starters, Marshall and Colston are excellent backups. And Rice might be better with Whitehurst. I don’t think you need to worry about your receivers any.
Yes I'm a dude.
