CJ & McClain Make The All "Had A Bad Day" Team For Week #5
For such a close game against the Saints ProFootballFocus.com wasn't very kind to the Panthers. They rated Charles Johnson at a -3.6 for the game, and said he had no QB pressures in the game. They saved much worse for DT Terrell McClain, a -4.3 rating, though he did have 1 QB pressure, saying of McClain's season so far that McClain "Has by far the lowest rating among DT's".
However, 3 Saints players made their "All PFF Team" for week 5, giving them the top QB Drew Brees at a +9.2 rating, FB Jed Collins at a +2.8 rating, and TE Jimmy Graham at a +3.2 rating.

It's hard to get pressure on the QB when you're being mugged from behind.
In CJs case, I’m inclined to believe that until the refs start calling holds on the guy blocking him, he;s going to be limited in his ability to create pressure.
McClain had one stand-out play, breaking through and taking out their RB for a sizable TFL.
But I think they were only grading him on pass rush effectiveness.
I thought our CJ had a very poor game against the Saints.
Either their line is really good, or we’re in for a long season when only rushing four, but the lack of pressure on Drew Brees was probably the single largest factor to the Panthers loss last Sunday.
At least CJ hustles and plays hard when he’s having bad games, unlike a certain DE we used to have.
