I am not sure if this link has been posted anywhere on here yet, but it is by Reeder and it is entitled. "Why the Panthers couldn't trade Steve Smith, even if they wanted to" I found it comforting. I know there has been a lot of talk about trading Steve. It might make sense to some people. They are saying that he has lost a step or that he is getting too old. And they might be right. But I just can't accept that. I was brought up with the Panthers. It might just be me but in my eyes Steve Smith is more than just a player. He is a hero. He has become the face of this team. People fear playing against the man that John Gruden refers to as Freddy Kruger. He is the guy everyone loves to hate and hate to love. I can honestly say that after watching Steve for as long as I have and him having the impact that he has for this team it would break my heart to see him wearing another uniform. But I digress.
