A Look at the 56 Early Entries to the 2011 Draft
This year there will be a record number of underclassmen who have declared for the NFL draft. The CBA uncertainty probably contributed to the 56 early entries, as all of these young men must be aware that there will be a rookie pay scale in place in the coming years. It would take forever to breakdown all 56 prospects on this list, so I will simply post the list, and welcome any and all comments and evaluations. Check out all of these intriguing prospects after the jump...

As you can see, there are some big time names here. One could even assume that seven or eight of the first 10 picks could be underclassmen.
Outside of the sure-fire first rounders like Fairley, Bowers, Green, Peterson and Ingram, who would you target with our half a dozen picks in rounds 3-7?

Couple of 2nd day gems...
Randall Cobb-Mr. Everything for Kentucky, could help at wide reciever and as a punt/kick off returner immediately.
Ryan Williams-Would only consider drafting a RB if Deangelo is not to be resigned, but Ryan could be good insurance.
I like Randall Cobb a lot, but there is really no point in drafting him:
A) Since we just drafted Armanti Edwards, who is trying to fulfill these rolls and has the almost exact same skill set
AND
B) We need a number 1 WR like Green, not a slot WR, which Cobb will probably be.
If D-Will isn’t resigned, then I would definitely be pushing the team to look at drafting Ryan Williams or Dion Lewis, small DeAngello-type RBs who could be available in mid rounds. Pray to god that we don’t lose D-Will though…
I LOVE Dion Lewis.
I think he could be a stud for us should D-Willy leave.

I like Julio Jones...
He’s a big weapon for Alabama, but I’d be shocked if he lasted to the 3rd round. And I’d be surprised to see any of our later picks spent on WRs since we just spent half of our last draft on them.
I’m surprised that Blackmon and Broyles decided to return to school. I’d gladly take either one of those next year if the opportunity presented itself.

Haven't watched him. Sorry. =/
I follow the Big 12 more than any other conference. Which leads me to mention that I just noticed the “East Carolina Pirates” in your signature. Do you like Ruffin McNeill? I loved him as the DC at my dear Texas Tech. I thought he should have gotten the HC position instead of Tuberville when Leach was fired.
Think Calvin Johnson.
Or a TE with 4.5 or so speed.
Jeffery is the one of the most physical WR’s you will ever see play.

Not really.
Sure he is an alumni and all that, but when your defense gives up 200+ rushing yards a game and lets Navy drop 76 points on you to go with 521 rushing yards you got some big problems some where on the coaching tree.
And the offense became even more pass heavy, though this was due to being behind a lot.
Only team in the Big 12 I could care for are(soon to be was) is Nebraska.

I think I remember that McNeill won the first game...
And then I didn’t pay any attention after that. I’m too A.D.D. to follow too many teams. In regards to Navy – ouch! Those are some freaking awful statistics.
We won the 1st game(Tulsa) game on a hail mary, on 4th and 10 with 5 seconds left.
Mostly all the games we won were on the shoulders of our QB Dominique Davis, who finished behind Cam Newton in total TD’s.
And for bad stats, Rice had 62 points and 410 rushing yards against us (Holy crap that white boy McGuffie is fast.)

Anyone like S Tyler Sash from Iowa?
Seen a bunch of Iowa games…kid just makes plays. Big INTS, FFs, lots of return yardage off of TOs. Makes a bunch of tackles as their ‘box’ safety. He would be perfect as a nickel LB and part-time, short-yardage safety, IMO. Eventually you work him in as a starter somewhere. Should be around in late 3rd, early 4th.
Also, I like Greg Little athletically, but he comes with the same baggage Marvin Austin has.
Let me hold about tree-fiddy?
