Most winning coaches in the NFL today are aggressive like Rex Ryan, Sean Payton and Bill Belichick. All those coaches come from different environments. Will Ron Rivera be aggressive? He was an aggressive player for the Chicago Bears.
Ron Rivera didn’t call that many aggressive plays for the eagles, then again how many aggressive defensive plays are there, you can blitz more. I think we do need to be more aggressive with the play calling. It doesn’t matter if it works or not it makes teams think. During the season when we played the Cardinals they opened up half time with an onside kick. They didn’t get it but it made us bring up a guy on the rest of the kickoffs.
Sometimes with aggressive coaches it will make the Quarterback more aggressive, can be good, can be bad, When a QB gets aggressive it makes every one on the team have a feeling of energy. It gives the team motivation to win.
I also don’t want our team to talk like the Jets I don’t know what Rex Ryan did if he told his team they should talk or if his team is following him. I think Ron Rivera has taught the chargers D well. Are good teachers aggressive?
I’m not saying we will open up halftime in the super bowl with an onside kick. The winning teams have aggressive coaches who aren’t afraid to risk that. I want an aggressive coach but to aggressive is bad. Ron Rivera is smart and he will do what he ahs to do to help us win ball games?
He does not have all play calling those fall into the coordinators hands but he can affect it.
Will Ron Rivera Be an aggressive coach?
What do you think?
