Hello Panther fans,
My screen name is Trinidad Jack and I usually frequent Mile High Report (Denver Broncos). First of all, I want to congratulate you on the hiring of your new head coach. I think you've made an excellent choice and I predict your team is going to have a lot of success in the future. I regret the Broncos weren't able to get their act together early enough to make a serious run at his services but at least I'm relieved he's no longer going to be our worry twice a year anymore.
However, the real reason I'm contacting you...
...is to ask what you really think of your old head coach. If I understand the Broncos' current search, John Fox is high on their list of potential HC choices, in fact, I would be extremely surprised if he isn't already on their list for a second interview. I can understand your frustration with this past season, believe me, but it seems to me that he did a great job turning your team around when he first got there, even getting them to a Super Bowl. My question, questions, are what happened? Is he a good coach who just got himself into a bad situation or bad luck? Did he go stale? Is there some area he's weak in that finally got exposed? Did something else happen? How able do you think he'd be at developing an interesting and unique young talent like Tim Tebow? Also, if the Broncos do hire him I would expect him to bring along a lot of his old coaching staff. Is there anyone we should be worried about? Is there anybody you think will become a blessing if he comes with Fox? I'm especially worried about our defense, which seems to have some talent but as you may know will probably have its sixth DC in six years and finished at the bottom of the league this year. I'm also worried about our special teams, which has had some flashes here and there but could really use more stability.
Thanks in advance for anything you can offer and good luck in the future,
