Is Gary Barndige 2nd on the depth chart?
I was browsing the depth chart at Panthers.com and noticed Gary Barnidge is listed as the second string TE. I don't know if it means he is actually considered the 2nd string but it may be a sign.

That is curious.
Hasn’t been that way in the past. I didn’t notice anything that Dante Rosario could’ve done that would’ve moved him back a spot.
maybe they will move Dante to WR where he belongs

i notice that too a couple of days ago
i didnt think anything of it at the time but now that u bring it up idk. i like barnidge alot and would love for him to be more active in the offense. Rosario is a tough call. he makes great plays one game and then the next he doesnt exist. i think hes too talented to be third but what do you do with him?
Move him to WR and put him in the slot
Like MMA_PITBULL says above: it’s where he belongs. He’s not a TE, rather a large receiver.
I’ve suggested (along with others) in the past that they should move Rosario to WR3 and put Barnidge as the 2nd TE.
Maybe they’ve finally decided to listen to us.

if he lost 30 pounds i think he would be set at wide receiver
he would be faster, still alot stronger than a corner or safety, and we might have a more reliable receiver opposite smith. i love this idea. hes just to big right now
Rosario is 6'4" - 250
Vincent Jackson is 6’5" – 230. If he can lose just 10 pounds that would help a lot. He will never be the fastest guy on the field but he runs great routes, has great hands, good athletic ability and body control.
With our talented and experienced trio of TEs and our inexperienced corp of WRs, using Dante as a receiver is the best way to get more of our TEs on the field and provide some relief for this young receiver corp while they get up to speed. I hope that is the plan.

Rosario as a slot receiver is a great idea
but we run so many 2 TD sets we need a third TD on the roster. We would have to pick one up in order to move Rosario to a WR. I’m not sure there is another TE out there that is better than Rosario.
Lin9ing Rosario up as a second TE (a set we used a majority of the time last year, I'd bet) ...
…and then have him circle off a brush block, into a vacated middle of the field, would accomplish the same as lining him up in the slot – maybe more, as he’d be disguised better.
Rosario in the slot would be awesome
I certainly trust his hands more than any other receiver on our roster not named Smith or Jarrett.
Is it Sunday yet?
My assumption:
Rosario is going to be the #3 receiver like several others have postulated. A 6"4, 250 lb guy out of the slot?! Yeah, good luck to the nickelback who has to cover him!
A couple of other interesting depth chart notes:
- Goodson ahead of Sutton as #3 RB
- Munnerlyn is penciled in as the PR, with Edwards behind him
- Goodson and Sutton as listed as the KR. I would have thought Goodson and Gettis.

I hope that means they're gonna use Goodson more in screens and in the slot
I think he’s finally figured out how to hang on to the football and can actually be useful to the offense.
Isn’t Sutton nursing a sore shoulder too? That could also have something to do with the switch between him and Goodson.
I would also like to see Goodson and Gettis as the KR’s.

Rosario in the slot would be sick. like you said good luck with a nickel trying to cover him. If he burns some defenses it would open things up for both Smith and Double Trouble. Then if all else fails you got a 6’4 WR on the outside. Sound good on paper at least better then we have had anyways

Anyone know Rosario's speed numbers?
I know he is quick for a TE and has made some amazing grabs (SD FTW!) but would he be a possession receiver only or does he have some breakaway speed at all?

I also noticed Leonard and Johnson as starting DT's
That’s our 2 big boys next to each other. Not what i would have expected from Meeks but I will trust he regardless.
Remember what I said on the podcast last week ; )

Tyrell Sutton-RB- Panthers Sep. 7 – 10:28 am et
The Panthers have no interest in trading RB Tyrell Sutton.
An unnamed NFC team reportedly asked about Sutton’s availability but were dismissed. The Panthers have the deepest corps of running backs in the league, as Sutton could be a second-stringer on some teams but is the No. 4 back in Carolina.

Sniff...
I’m going to turn this into a fanshot and put it on the front page. Seems worthy enough to merit a discussion

can't have him! every team in the league is licking their chops looking at
our rb corps. I’ve read several comments from other fans wishing they could get Goodson as well. Good to see his value going up considering we picked him up just last year. I’ve also read comments from Packers fans that weren’t happy with letting him go.

Hmm
I wouldn’t mind seeing Rosario at WR. I’ve been wanting to see it for a couple years. And I really wish Gettis would return kicks
