CSR Fantasy League #1 Overview
Figured someone should make a thread showcasing the 1st league, and since I was bored, I figured why not? Anyway, the draft was a couple week ago, and was pretty fun. I always love doing fantasy stuff. A lotta Panthers were drafted - everyone from Smitty and D'lo to Trent Guy. As said before, it was fun, and I hope we can keep it up and going all season long (been a part of too many fantasy leagues that died). Anyway, after the jump I'll post the results (in draft order) with that nifty link that Sniff posted giving analysis of the team and a pic of the person's 1st round pick.
By the way, I'm not really familiar w/ most of your real names, so just post saying it's your team if I don't put your username. :$

The Laser Koalas will reign supreme!
Great writeup cap, thanks!

Yeah, nice job Ol' Uncle
I just don’t get the rate-my-team analysis of my team. I thought getting Fitzgerald and Brady after many people had already taken WRs and QBs was pretty decent. But in their own words…
we’d be remiss if we didn’t at least mention the relative lack of strength at quarterback and receiver
Tom Brady is a weak QB? And Fitz is the 8th ranked receiver? ARZ doesn’t have the best QB situation so maybe that’s killing Fitz’s value.
Whatever the reason, I’m playing with a chip on my shoulder now! You guys will soon learn the true meaning of a Southern Beatdown!
on behalf of tha dirty south: soul food, carolina blue, southern hospitality, and tha queen city
Tom Brady has been weak ever since the undefeated season
And when you read that, remember it’s from a fantasy perspective. You get points for completions, yards, and touchdowns. The Patriots run it more than you think.
bmoyer's team is lookin the best right now
barring injury, his team should be strong enough without roster moves to win the whole thing….
props for getting jamaal charles, who i think is due for 1600 yds 12 tds
I voted for Tater
Matt Ryan is a question mark at QB, but McNabb could be solid if needed.
Those RBs are insane and I think that’s the best WR corps in the league.

Thank ya James
I was very pleased with my draft results as well. Always been of the school of thought that if you think you can get a decent QB later with a good backup, you should stock up on power RBs and WRs first.

I think it will come down to 3, 6, 8, 9
2, 4 have very solid starting lineups, but the bench is practically worthless, cant see either team winning any games weeks 6-10 without a great waiver wire pickup or two.
5 is solid top to bottom, depends on setting the lineup right.
Knee jerk reaction - adj. 1. an immediate unthinking emotional reaction produced by an event or statement to which the reacting person is highly sensitive. 2. a facilitator of long threads on Cat Scratch Reader and similar blogs.
It is a bad sign
that I’m currently ahead in the voting. Is this going to be like the SI cover curse? I hope not.
The Smoldering Tator Tots
Are ready to burn all of your hands!
My RBs and WRs are strong up front, and stupid deep. Once Sidney Rice is back, I have a legit 5 starters at the WR position, and RBs are even better.
I sacrificed a little at QB and TE, but both of them have high upside and will certainly be able to be productive as they take a back seat to my dynamite skill players.

Yes my pretties... sleep on the laser Koalas... sleep
Then…. POW! Just like the Panthers I step up when you least expect it
