Who's your 53?
We've seen a lot of fanposts, postulations and insinuations... but who's your 53? What is your prediction for the final 53 players left on the Panthers' roster after the final round of cuts?
Feel free to post your 53, or copy and paste them as a comment if you've already created a 53. It would be interesting to see as a community how close we have our fingers on the pulse of the Panthers. My 53 after the jump

I really hope we can find a spot for DE Eric Moore. He would make a 5 man rotation at DE invaluable. I hope we can keep him somehow.
Other than that that is the 53 I would go with as well.

I like your lineup...
Looks pretty good to me, actually. It’s tough not having room fore Eric Moore and Nick Hayden though. If anything, I’d drop one of the CBs for either of those two.
And actually
I’m questioning whether or not to keep Senn… If we have an injury to Connor, Beason immediately moves back to MLB and Williams moves to WLB I think. The possible return of Davis gives us a little more security here too. That frees up another spot for possibly E.Moore.
no duke?
"If you ask Jets' CB Darrelle Revis, there is no one who is harder to cover one-on-one than Steve Smith. That has to mean something coming from last year's runner-up for Defensive Player of the Year."
Nope, no Duke
What has he done? If Bernadeau managed to snap th ball it would be a different story, but we have to keep CJ Davis (as flawed as he is) simply because he can put the snap in the QBs hands.

I like your 53 - but mine is slightly different...
I’d take Martin and replace him with Guy, and take Ivy and replace him with Eric Moore
Other than that – I agree with your roster.

I think it's likely at least one or two players not currently on the team will make the final roster.
Those players would be extremely difficult to predict. However, I would find a way to keep Kenny and Eric Moore.
stuff 'bout stuff.
Oh, and I didn't notice you left off Duke Robinson.
I’d definitely find a spot for him.

i have to say that this is alot tougher to predict than a week ago
i like robinson over davis as oline depth. i know robinson struggled last game but he still is a guy u dont want to lose just becuz of potential.
I’d get rid of Ivy for harris and wilson for irvin. fransico is a tough one just becuz he hasnt been healthy enough to do anything. im liking what i see though from our team
i forgot a few guys...
Damn. I would need to figure out how to fit Robinson and Senn.
I am an optimist. It does not seem too much use being anything else.

I made a list of what I'd like to see, and I had 5 spots left for waiver claims.
All of the positions already had good depth too, other than maybe the offensive linemen. I only had 3 backups from the current guys. It’s not hard to find spots for people.

A pretty good 53
but I’d take K. Moore over Jarrett anyday. While Moore will drop a few passes he can get make plays downfield and play on ST and return punts. Jarrett hasn’t shown anything in those areas. But I might just cut both, put Guy on PUP for possible use later. Doing that allows us to keep Robinson.
I’d keep Nic Harris and cut Ivy or Senn. I don’t think we need two backup MLBs behind Connor with Beason able to slide over there. Harris is a natural WLB, like T. Davis he played safety in college. I also think E. Moore should be on this team. I think he has more worth than CJ Wilson does, to say nothing of the fact this roster list has 10 DBs. I think our safetys can play CB in a pinch which leads me to think 9 is a good number here.
Another thing I noticed is that besides WR Fox can’t evaluate talent at DT. If both Hayden and Irvin are cut then Fox has drafted 3 DTs and neither making the team. Though Hayden has been borderline productive.
I think though that this points out that the last 4-5 players we keep may just be more important than others besides than the starters and maybe just about the hardest decisions.
Hayden's signature move is two steps backwards, followed by a fall on his ass.
4 DT’s are enough. Store Hayden on the PS, if you must.
Here's mine James.

Differences is CAPS: Moore for Jarret, Add Robinson, Harris for Ivy, Hudson for Francisco (put him on PUP/IR like Davis)
I'm pretty much in agreement with your list there James.
I had Guy over Martin, until missing last game. I still might prefer him over Martin, but I understand either way. I will be disappointed if they let Gettis go. I would like to see them keep Duke to see if he can ever turn into a NFL player, although he will be taking up a roster spot from someone that might be able to help us win this year.

Doesn't the 6-wk PUP list count toward the 53?
If so, you’ve got to account for Thomas Davis as one of the LB’s.
He's on the Reserve/PUP list
Once he come’s off after the Bye Week, they will have to cut someone.

Robinson has shown no potential other than being big...
He’s slow, out of shape, and can’t block. At least that’s what I’ve seen out of the big guy. I think we need to look at cuts and waivers to pick up OL depth, preferably a dependable G/C combo guy (like Hartwig?).
I was impressed with Harris (kept going who’s that guy?), and I think he earned a spot. over Ivy. BTW, Ivy’s already been cut.
Francisco should go on the PUP with T. Davis. He needs to heal up, get in game shape, then maybe we bring him back.
Martin at WR doesn’t do anything for me, and I haven’t noticed him blowing it up on STs either. Jarrett is dead to me. I do like Gettis to make the 53… he’s surprised me. I’d say keep Moore for now, and I hope they’ll be looking for someone else. Housh would work for me, but there will be others.
Where there’s a will… I want to be in it.
I'm thinking Hartwig wants to be a starter. But we definitely need to comb the
waivers for a serviceable backup at center.

I haven't actually smelled (smelt?) him, but I'd take him for the right money and 1 year deal...
So we could yell “HOOOOOOUUUUUSSHHHHH”
Where there’s a will… I want to be in it.
Oh, I would, too.
Just doesn’t seem like the M.O. of the Panthers. They’ve passed on so many potential good fits from the FA/released markets this off-season.
