Otah Will Not Be Ready by Opener vs Giants
The starting right tackle, who's been out since having an arthroscopic procedure on his left knee early in training camp, is not expected to be ready for the regular-season opener and perhaps the week after that, according to a source with knowledge of the situation.

The thing most affected here will be the run-game
I think Schwartz will be fine in pass-pro. But when its 3rd and goal on the 1 yard line, it sure is nice to have the monster in there.
"If you ask Jets' CB Darrelle Revis, there is no one who is harder to cover one-on-one than Steve Smith. That has to mean something coming from last year's runner-up for Defensive Player of the Year."
Stinks but not surprised
Otah, Otah, Otah ! Great player when he is on the field but his time has come to suck it up alittle bit. Understand the injury and really it does hurt especially when your a bigger or really much bigger guy than they average person. Anways Otah again misses a game or two not a big shock or surprise in Carolina but even as someone that has defended the guy a bunch here on the site it is starting to get old to say the least.

Well, before training camp started, I predicted Otah would end up on injured reserve ...
… ‘cause they rushed him back too soon. It’s nice to see they’re taking it slow with him. My knee injury took two years before I could walk on it for extended periods without pain. It still hurts if I twist it wrong. I’m underweight for my height too, not 330 pounds. Of course, he has access to lots of doctors and training regimens, but I’m dubious as to how much of a difference that makes.
stuff 'bout stuff.
