Panthers trade pick, then draft Eric Norwood

Rumored to be looking for a CB with the 112th pick the Panthers didn’t see the value they liked at the position trading their pick to the New York Jets for their 124th overall selection, as well as an additional 6th round choice.

At 124 the Panthers selected OLB Eric Norwood out of South Carolina, a player projected by many to be  2nd round pick.

Norwood is an instinctual pass rusher of immense skill. He projects as a player who will compete with Dan Connor at OLB and also have the potential to be used as a DE, being roughly the same size as Everette Brown.

Another solid pick by the Panthers who are jumping on the opportunity to take falling players and take the best player available.
