Breaking News! Panthers select Tebow?
ok, I kid I kid. I know y'all are waiting for the draft, so I thought I write something you guys could read about while watching the draft.
This definitely could have been the story if Moore didn't perform like he did last season. I just came back from the gym, and my boy, T.J. (not houshmandzadeh) who's worked there for 3-4 years has no idea today was the draft (He also tells me when the combine prospects come in and work out, so I can be inspired). I told him it was today, and he said "You know the Panthers are taking Tim Tebow. Jeff Davidson told me" I said "wtf? and Jeff Davidson?? When did he tell you this?" He said "Last September was when I last talked to him"
It makes sense. Moore just got his new contract, so if he hadn't stepped up like he did, we might have replaced him with Tebow.
I know I need to spell/grammar check, but I've been holding my poo for sometime now, so hope you guys enjoyed my short story. Sorry if I wasted any of your time...

We would form a giant mob and do bad things to Mr. Davidson.

everyone likes Tebow just not as the QB of their team. maybe he could be a TE, we could sure use a good athletic TE.

*cough Stupid Broncos!!!
Jake Delhomme, QB Carolina Panthers, 2003-2009.
120 TDs+16000+ passing yards=Good

Tebow
Tebow will be a great QB. His college stats are better than any QB selected #1 overall from the SEC. You can look that up on Cold Hard Football Facts. I don’t understand why everyone hates on him. I think it’s based on Tebow hate being the popular thing among most people, but there is no reason to hate on Tebow.
It's the media hype more than anything...
The media makes Tebow out to be like he’s the 2nd coming of the messiah – and he’s not. He’s a good kid, a hard worker, and played QB on a team that runs the Urban Meyer spread (not exactly the best offense to develop an NFL QB, just ask the 49ers and Alex Smith). You can spit out “he’s the best QB ever in the SEC” all day, but it doesn’t mean he will be any good in the NFL. Matt Leinart won 2 National Championships and a Heisman, and how has he done in the NFL? It’s the same with Tebow- he’s just not cut out for the NFL (yet) and doesn’t deserve all the recognition he gets from the media.
Thanks to the Denver Broncos, my sanity (what's left of it, at least) will remain intact for 2010.
not exactly
Urban Meyer ran the spread that is similar to what the Patriots ran with Tom Brady while McDaniels was the OC. Meyer, Belichek and McDaniels are all close. To act like you know he’s not cut out for the NFL because of the spread when a spread HC drafts him is a bit misleading. He’s not cut out for some offenses, (I don’t think he’d be a good fit in Carolina – and I think Moore is the future anyway), but more NFL teams are running the spread. Leinart wasn’t as good in college as Tebow, and he is more prima donna, and less work ethic. Tebow identifies his own flaws and works on them. Is running the spread the only reason why people think he’s not cut out for the NFL? Bradford also ran the spread. He’s only played 3 games in the last year and a half. Is he also not cut out for the NFL?

Bradford also doesn't have to completely relearn his throwing motion
But it doesn’t really matter – nothing will convince me that Tebow is worth the hype, which is my biggest problem. The media needs to leave the boy alone and focus on other players for a change instead of reporting to us what Tebow is doing at his house at 4 in the afternoon.

"reporting to us what Tebow is doing at his house at 4 in the afternoon"
and this one doesn’t involve his throwing motion
agree
Well one thing is for sure, Orton is the starter now, and the receiver they got 3 picks before Tebow will have a bigger impact next year. For me, the bottom line is that Matt Moore played very well last year, and I truly believe he will lead us to the Championship this year, regardless of what other QBs do.

Good thing he didn't fall to 2nd
Although we were laughing and all, I know many of us were sweating as the draft was coming to an end…
