What about Terrell Hudgins, WR Elon
I don't have time to elaborate with stats and all that stuff on Hudgins, being as I have a show to be on in an hour, but I can just say as someone who practiced side-by-side and played with him, this guy is the real deal. Great hands, not fast but he could be a Keyshawn Johnson type if he gets the proper attitude. I find it sorta awful none of yall have even mentioned the chance to draft Division 1's alltime career leader in catches and receiving yards. Anyway, I gotta go but I'll probably chime in with some comments later.

There are several reasons we haven't talked about him:
1. Universally considered by all outlets to be 7rd-undrafted (average position ranking of 41
2. Slow 40 time (posted 4.54, 4.68, 4.79- those are TE times)
3. Doesn’t display the ability to get NFL level separation
4. Impressive numbers, but poor competition hurts his stock
5. Too small to be a hybrid WR/TE
We haven’t talked about him because he’s on no draft radar. Armanti Edwards improved his stock at the combine, which is why he’s now being talked about- maybe Hudgins can help himself at Elon’s pro day. Until then there’s no reason he should be on the Panthers’ radar.

Armanti Edwards
James it would be interesting what your take on Edwards is?
I had little to no confidence in Edwards leading up to the combine.
I said that he would be a value pick in the 6th or 7th round, but even with the impressive stats and resume I didn’t see the tools to run an NFL offense.
Obviously I wasn’t at the combine, but Edwards threw in Indy and the word was his release had been modified and looked like he was getting assistance in improving his motion. A lot of scouts said that Edwards was throwing worse than Tony Pike, but was definitely in the upper echelon. While he didn’t run at the combine, people already knew his skill there.
The reports on Edwards lead me to believe that he could run an NFL offense in time, but he is raw and is a work in progress. This is much better than I previously thought. Edwards is a reach in the 4th round, a steal in the 6th or 7th. He’s the 12th ranked QB on my board.
